Integrating Gout
Science & Care
OUR MISSION AND GOALS
The Gout Study Group is comprised of experts in the field of uric acid biology and basic and clinical science related to gout. Our goals are to:
1. Evaluate all new findings in gout-related fields and translate the results into new research questions.
2. Promote the translation of new information into better care of patients with hyperuricemia and clinical gout.
Central to our mission is improved communication and education for all persons involved in gout research and the clinical care of gout patients.
Management Guidelines as recommended by ACR , EULAR and 3e (a multi-national effort to develop recommendations for musculoskeletal disorders).
Creating an online discussion platform for physicians, researchers and clinicians to discuss issues central to better management and understanding of gout.
Providing physicians and PCPs access to slides and poster presentations highlighting the most recent developments in gout research.
The Gout Study Group welcomes patients and strives to provide educational materials that will help them play an active role in the management of their gout.
